Acquisition and Disposition
We represent a range of clients from individuals to national developers and investment syndicates that hold real estate. We are able to assist from the letter of intent stage, through diligence until the closing of purchase and sale.
Leasing and Brokerage
Our attorneys work with our clients in connection with the leasing of property, including office, industrial, retail and mixed use. We represent landlords, tenants, assignees, subtenants and occupants. We are also frequently called upon to review and negotiate the terms of broker agreements.
Management and Operation
Many of the clients of The Kaplan Law Group that own real estate outsource the management of their properties to third-party property managers. Accordingly, we have extensive experience developing management agreement that address the specific needs of real estate owners. In addition to representing the owners of real estate, we represent property managers. In this regard our attorneys have vast experience assisting property managers with specific vendor contracts ranging from limited access agreements to telecommunication license agreements with national wireless carriers.
Equity Investment, Entity Formation and Representation
The type legal structure utilized to hold title to real estate has critical implications relative to taxes, income generation and exposure to liability. Our real estate attorneys have at least 20 years of experience working with clients in the New York and New Jersey area and use this experience to provide insight in guiding our clients through the maze of matters that arise in connection with changes in laws. Our work ranges from the formation of single member limited liability companies, trusts and joint ventures to working with real estate investment trusts and private equity investors.
